Your house purchase can fall through until exchange (and some people even fail to complete)
Whilst I know you want to have a perfect home on your first day, I would not be ordering anything until I have exchanged contracts at the very least!
Getting the mortgage pulled AFTER exchange is a worse situation than if its pulled before.0 -
Thanks for the response from all, the work indeed isn't essential - really a nice to have. I'll wait until we've got the keys and look at something then.
