I have just eaten an emergency tin of carrot and coriander soup by Bonners and bought at B&M and I will be back for more. As a stand-by it is excellent.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

I have been back to B & M for more carrot and coriander soup at 39p a tin. It is a tall thin tin and I am fairly certain it's a repackaged Heinz Farmers Market which is £1.09 a tin in Tesco. I was disappointed as there was only one left! I also managed to buy some Bonners Rustic Pepper and Olive Stewing Sauce which I had tried and liked at 69p earlier in the week. It was exactly the right amount to cook 400g of beef in the slow cooker and made three generous portions. Only today it was !!! 10p !!! a jar so I bought five. Anything more would have been greedy and deprived the next bargain-hunter. There were some Sacla stir-in sauces at 49p and Duerrs orange marmalade for 25p and all well within date. I could hardly hold what I bought and the grand total was £2.35. I will make a point of visiting this store regularly and stocking up on the items I like. I think there is a thread for this store somewhere but couldn't find it today.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

So did anyone find out any more details about these soups? Are they really re-labelled 'finest' stock? Why would that much stock be available for re-labelling though? Does anyone know the origin of the ingredients (the meat in particular)?0

The business isn't dissolved, there products are now in other stores like pound stretchers. I'm assuming it's just a small business slowly growing with a few people running it.0

update 5.4.17 I noticed the recipe has now changed the oxtail no longer taste like Heinz it has a more tomato base to it. The store that supplies my Bonners soups I noticed two types of can became available, 1 with a ring pull one without, it was the tin without the ring pull that was of a diff recipe. Over period of weeks the can with the ring pull become less and less available and now this store for the last year only supplies oxtail in can with no ring pull and although nice is not the same as the ring pull can that was exactly like Heinz. I suppose at 3 cans for a £1 it was too good to last.
I still enjoy the other variants of Bonners soups they really are value for money at 3 can for a £1 the Ham hock an chunky veg is a fav also the 3 bean is rather chunky and filling.0
