Overnight sandwich storage.

Options
Hi,

I am finally moving tomorrow and it is a DIY job. We have quite a lot of friends and family helping so at lunchtime I was going to provide cheese rolls.

Now as it will be manic tomorrow I was wondering if I could make the cheese rolls, wrap them in clingfilm and store them in the fridge until tomorrow?

I was wondering if this would make the bread go funny? I have frozen cheese rolls before but never refrigerated them. I don't want to them leave them out as I am worried about the marg/cheese.

Anyway hope someone can help!

I would think they will be fine.

I often make my butties for work the night before and most of the shops that sell sandwiches keep them in refrigerated cabinets!

I would just take them out of the fridge an hour or so before eating them.

I do my husbands and sons sandwiches/packed lunch the night before. I wrap the sandwiches in foil, put them in an airtight container and put them in the fridge and they are fine the next day. No way am I getting up at 5.30 am to make them before hubby goes to work.

We sometimes go away for walking weekends and stay in a B&B. I've made cheese sandwiches on the Friday before we go and left them in the cold box -with plenty of ice packs-in the boot of the car until the Sunday.I wouldn't put pickle or tomato in as that probably would make them soggy.
