hi, my husband has got a fit for work notice for 4 weeks on light duties. he works for a large haulage company on the mechanics side. he took it to work and they have sent him home because they dont do light duties. he will only receive ssp . should he receive full pay as the employer has sent him home until fit for work.

No. Adjustments on a fit note are only an option/suggestion from the GP. The employer does not have to consider or implement them. If they can't (or won't) then the fit note operates in the same way as the old style sick note and so the employee is off sick and only receives the normal sick pay as per the company.
Not complying with suggestions on a fit note is not the same as a medical suspension0 -
