This Doesn't Feel Like A Competition Prize

I received an email from a company called Eyestorm saying that I had won a voucher of £50 towards the purchase of some of their contemporary art. Initially, I was pleased but on looking at their website I find that all of their artwork is priced in the £100s and £1000s. Some of it is rather nice but my budget doesn't stretch to it I am afraid. I'm beginning to think it is a bit of a con to persuade people to purchase their expensive art.

Even if not I am unable to use it and it is a bit disappointing as haven't won for ages. Never mind.:) (brave smile)

Incidentally, it was a UK Art Lovers Advent Competition.

  • I recieved a "winning voucher" in the post for £500 of bedroom furniture... Then in the smallest wording on the back of the voucher it said... "When you spend £3500"... I rung up and complained about it to which they said "you still won £500".... I guess we have to expect it entering competitions to receive some spam :(

  • I remember somebody else saying this :( Imho, it isn't a win if you have to spend xyz amount to get it- they may as well have said here's a 15% discount if you want it. Must be a bit of a downer - keeping my fingers crossed for you for a great win :D

Thanks everyone. Seems quite a few people have 'won' this prize!

If you carry on you may have enough money to buy some artwork!
