There is a big difference between the cheap and the tasty.

Yes - I was worried there might be!
  • Our co-op (mid-counties) currently has their 'simply irresistible' top-of-their-own-range ones at £2.80 for two packs of six - which is fairly attractive as one pack of six is £2.50!

Haven't tried them yet though - but assume they should be good...
  • Aldi's signature ones at. £1.69 are VERY good.

I'm actually enjoying Tesco's value ones this year - 65p for 6 - they're not deep filled like the posher ones, more jam tart shaped, but the filling is moist and tasty and the pastry isn't bad either (and because they are shallower, you don't feel quite so guilty having a second one :D ).

In previous years I usually end up with one of the Co-op ones, either standard or luxury range, and have never been let down.
