Hi Guys and Girls,
I am new to MSE Forums and would like to say hello.
I am a saver at heart, but I have been slacking for the last 6 years. I blame it on my partner and the house. But now we have a baby in the house I want to get our savings back on the ball again.
Which is: £8000.The 'Save 12k in 2014' Challenge: £639/ £8,000 (#208)

It's been a bit of a month, had to get my car serviced, plus it's tax and insurance.
But I was able to save £1490.00, which leaves me slightly ahead of target.
So I'm very pleased with FebruaryEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Hi everyone,
an expensive February for us, actually. Including a £300 vet bill for removing a cancerous lump on the dog, poor thing. But on the positive front we had a weeks winter sunshine in Lanzarote. Declaring £763.70 for the month.
Well done everyone for keeping going with your savings...the forum seems more active than last year, which is great motivation!Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.0 -
£500 saved this month, but £400 of this was to get my savings back up to what I managed to save last year.
From next month I'll be able to save much more. What will your verse be?

My total for February is £1180! A wee bit of this was leftovers from January but I'm really pleased with this
it probably won't be as good going forwards but it's a good start.
I thought it would be more this month as husband is due over £500 in payments for homers (he's a tradesman) and i was sure that would come in before the end of the month.
Never mind, I'm still pleased! And husband has quite a bit of march overtime booked in already!

#48 apprehensively checking in with another £200 for Feb leaving my total at £400/£1500
I say apprehensively as I had a £170 splurge on fixtures to build a sliding door wardrobe in a weird alcove space we have in our bedroom. I've been wanting to do it for months and had to take advantage of a 50% offer while I could! Annoyingly, nearly £40 of it was just delivery!
Also I had my car MOT'd today and knew I had to get 3 new tyres, so that's put a £250 dent on the c/card, but I'll clear that next pay day and should still be able to put a little away.
On top of that we've had some essential work done at the property we rent out after some storm damage. The insurance is covering some of it minus a £100 excess, but as the scaffolding was up and covered by insurance we decided to get some extra maintenance jobs done which may be an additional £1k or thereabouts. We've said aside a different pot for that though so it shouldn't affect my other savings... I hope!!£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

Well it's £353.57 for me for february which makes it up to £1049.57 so far. I was hoping a cheque would clear in time to add to this month's total but it will have to go into march's instead. The 365 day penny challenge #24: £21.52/£667.95
