To be honest, I assumed that wasn't going to be your total figure for January, so didn't include it? The others have confirmed that that's the final total for the month - that's all I want through the updates form :)

ooooh! I get it :) No, it won't be my final figure. Sorry for misunderstanding :)

I'm itching to add my savings to the spreadsheet but I can't add anything until I get paid on the 15th. I'm trying my best to be frugal with what's left of my wages at the moment. I have my MOT on the 11th so if car passes that without needing work I should be able to carry over something which can go into savings. Good luck to everyone trying to meet their targets :).
    Finally bought a home

  • OT, but finally my OH (we live together) has admitted he needs a budget and is going to let me help him! We have a budgeting date next weekend. Hallelujah! Wish me luck, I'm naturally a saver, and he's a the-money's-there-so-it-HAS-to-be-spent sort of extreme spender...

  • I think I'll declare totals towards the end of the month. I'm going to aim to build an emergency float of £500 and increase it by £50 per month. Once I've got enough I'll open an isa and put the rest in there. Happy savings folks xx

  • Declaring £620 for January. £500 moved into savings and pension, plus £120 interest (which sadly is gonna slump big time after my fixed rate ends in May - boo).

I'd fixed at 4.25% for 3 years, but you can't get anything like that at the moment. In hindsight I'd have fixed for 5 years at 5%.,:-)

That's what I did, I took out a few fixed term bonds paying between 4.5% and 5% interest and people thought I was stupid fixing for so long at the time, now it appears to be paying off! :j
