Just popping in to say I've been away from the forum for a few weeks as sadly I lost my DM last month after a short but horrid illness. I've not done any saving but will start again as soon as DM's flat etc., are disposed of. Well done everyone, there are some amazing savings going on every month

Im so happy! I have had a few horid months savings wise as I had big big bills to pay, but I set myself a target to make all that money back this month so I can finally start adding to the spreadsheet again. Ive only ruddy done it! I did a car boot sale yesterday and made £85 which took me over my last savings total by £56. Very happy with myself.£20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0

I can't remember the last time I came on here as I've been too busy to even be online..
My year hasn't gone as planned with savings but I have been managing to put bits and pieces away. Will be leaving my current job soon and need to find a new one but hopefully that will happen quite quickly!2018

This is an earlier than usual declaration for me & I've completed the update form; I've transferred £250 over to my ISA this month toward my official savings for this challenge and put a slightly higher than usual amount of £300 into my 'to be spent' pot. I've exceeded my original target for this year and am on target for my increased target, but know I've got some big'ish expenses coming up so it makes sense to cushion the other account while I can. It helps that I've had a £90 payout from Quidco which has absorbed the c/c debt and also a few expenses for this week as I'm on annual leave and intend to treat myself here and there!£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

I've just done a bit of juggling and have managed to cover the last month's savings and will have this month's too by 31st. Things aren't looking so bad after all.0

Sorry SF, as explained in the 2nd update form which I've just submitted, I'd realised that I had a number of £2 coins (and other shrapnel) so decided to bank it while I'm off work and able to get there. I've counted up another £70 to added to my previous sum, so that actually leaves me with a total of £320 going into long term savings for August. Thanks & sorry to mess you around£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

I'm declaring £700 for August, plus paid in advance for an indulgent spa weekend. You've got to spend it as well as save it!
That's 70% of target reached in 58% of the year, so just ahead, but car expenses next month...Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

Hi All
I am looking for a new place to live after moving from the DFW Board, I sold my house in July 2014 (was let) and we have been living in rented accommodation since May 2013. I have managed to put £35,000 of equity from the sale into various savings ISA, Zopa, Regular Savings etc I have set up a sweep facility on my account and I have closed all my credit accounts and additional bank accounts - I was feeling a bit homeless.
I think I could live here and my aim is to save £350 per month (£1400) by December.
The organisation I work for is at risk and may close in March so I am job hunting too but need to save emergency money just in case.
Thanks
