Payday here, but I have finally decided I am on the move job-wise. I may even just chuck it all in for my own sanity. For months I have been pulled down by technology issues which resulted in my earning £5K less than last year and created huge stress. It might result in poor savings this particular year but I would expect to see improvements overall. It's a big challenge, but something seemingly trivial made me see red and make a firm commitment to change my working life. It's a shame as I used to love my work.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

I've saved a measly £100 this month, although that's more than I thought I'd manage with a very low June pay. Next month should be healthier hopefully but will depend if I find a job (have been made redundant so next month is my last pay!)
Hope everyone has lovely holibobs if you're going away.# 072 'Save 12K in 2015' - £345 / £3000

I didn't realise just how hard it was to save over the summer period... wedding season is crazy! I haven't updated for 2 month so will now. 219.50 in June 2014 - and then this month I saved a massive 2130.75 which is 3 months rent from my tenant and around 700 quid from myself.
My job situation might be changing and thinking of going contract.... been short listed for a job that pays 30% more than what I am on now and I can live with my folks too... so no rent... thinking of doing that and will be able to save 25k+ which is a ludicrous amount of cash in a year...
My Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.
48.78% towards 2015 target.
105.3% towards 2014 target. :j0 -
Hello,
I haven't updated in a while. I have had a blip in the form of a bad car accident with our car being written off. So we have had some extra expenditures due to that, but I am hoping that we will be able to claim most of it back through our solicitor...but this could take a few months. We also spent extra money being on holiday and have had a few weddings to attend!
I am hoping after July pay day to regroup and see a little better what our money situation is like. I will update once pay is in and most of the bills are out!Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):

#077 declaring £70.53 for July. I have worked out that I will manage to save a lot more as of October's salary so the last 3 months of the challenge will get the biggest push from me

I've just submitted a July total of £350, a bit lower than I'd have liked but it hasn't been a cheap month and I've also tucked £250 into my spending kitty (for bills such as car servicing, dentist or rainy days!). Thanks£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

Hello everyone!
We've had a good month of saving here (somehow). So #132 declaring £1410 for July.
Meaning we're almost at the £30k mark on our house deposit savings!
We have also started to think about whether it would be better to go for a cheaper house and get on the property ladder sooner rather than later.
Will probably also have to rethink our year target soon, looks like we're going to go over.
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer. Happy August saving everyone!

Well I managed £207.53 this month, which is a tad disappointing but hey it's still money!
I'm concentrating on my budget at the moment so have probably been overcautious and not pushing the savings side so much.
Hopefully everyone has been enjoying the sunshinePay off all your debts by Christmas 2025 no. 15 £0/69490
