Mortgage application hell

So just an update to anyone that cares!!


Received an improved offer of 168100 which was about 6k short of what we were after, however, we have managed to proceed with the move as we have been gifted the difference from a relative.


I was almost at the point of sacking my mortgage broker and would have done if we weren't able to get a suitable offer from Nationwide.


I would like to say thank you to Dave Ham as his advice was impartial and very helpful. He gave us a contingency plan should Nationwide not of upped their offer. When it comes to remortgaging I will definitely take up his service and will be recommending him to my colleagues and friends.


Just waiting for all the paper work to arrive to confirm everything and we can move on and hopefully complete by mid jan.
