Costco do do personal memberships at £25+VAT.

I find that if you shop for offers in the supermarket, you can easily beat those that are on the shelves of your local warehouse although things like 5KG of fresh chicken breast for £20 is very hard to beat (Makro)

I get this monthly sometimes two boxes a month as well as the mcdouglas soup which is super cheap and makes 20 servings for around £1.30 a box. Great for lunches or supper.

I always snoop for reduced bargains, recently found a pack of 18 Cumberland sausage and honey sausages for £1.30 a box I grabbed 5 boxes and they are gorgeous and fab butchers quality.

Got my card through my mum who used to be a childminder I am the second card holder :)

Hoo hing for chicken and I agree Makro or Costco
  • Food in Makro is not necessarily VAT free, just that which would normally be. You have to add VAT onto anything that is not to work out the price.

In Costco the price is marked net and gross.

We are Trade members of Costco, but will probably not renew it as it simply does not beat the prices we can get elsewhere, we have a Lidl and an Aldi nearby and they are generally pretty good.

Costco is OK for "different" things though.

Costco we buy large amounts if on special offer at supermarket.
Mind you depends what you call bulk.

Our local butcher supplies a full venison. Last time we bought bulk in a supermarket was 20+ 6 pks of frozen chicken.

Not worth buying a pallet lol
