Can we suggest campaigns?

Because, if so, I would like to suggest that there is a campaign to end the booking fee charged by venues - because it's applied to each ticket bought, so 4 tickets = 4 x booking fee!

Hi Valli
The answer to your question is DEFINITELY!
However, that doesn't mean we can guarantee it's something we'll be able to fight for on your behalf, as there are lots of things we could campaign for but we've only so many pairs of hands.
What I can guarantee is that all new suggestions by Forumites on this board will be read. Then, if I get the chance I'll pass on your views to the relevant regulator, government department or charity.
Thanks for your suggestion and keep them coming

How about a campaign to have the power companies credit your account with the money they owe you (after transferring to another supplier) within 2 weeks. I just moved from scottish power to EDF and they are telling me it may take up to 6 weeks to return the several hundred pounds i am in credit with them. Its 2013 not 1977 with the systems available today it should not take more than a couple of weeks. Clearly they want to keep hold of the money as long as possible to help their cashflow, their should be a maximum set timescale for this dodgy practice.0

How about an end to second home ownership?0

campaign that directory enquires services should tell you the cost of call when they are so helpful and offer to connect you.
My mother used 118 (yellow number), the nice person offered to connect her, my mum said yes - phone bill came £10.16 for a 3min 52sec call. To me that is unbelievable.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I would love a campaign to stop or at least vastly reduce all the gambling adverts on the sports channels. I just cannot believe how many there are!0

It's not just on the Sports Channels - They're all over the place.0

How abouit a "stay safe at Christmas campaign" I (very recently) had my drink spiked whilst out at a Christmas do and would like to make sure that no-one has to go through that. It's horrendous and very frightening.Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0

Booking fee is fine, as long as it's once per item that needs to be sent out (eg 4x tickets for one event, and 2x for another = 2 booking fees)
This is the current pricing model in much of the USSR, but unfortunately Europe doesn't seem to have caught up.

If they're going to call it a booking fee then it should be applied to the BOOKING regardless of the number of tickets purchased. As it is currently applied it's an extra levy per ticket. And, as for sending out - you often have to pay an additional fee for that anyway!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

:mad:I'd like a campaign about neighbouring hedges and trees. I looked on the Council website and its the person affected by the trees that has to "stump up" excuse the pun ... all the cash to take the neighbour to task! Even then you might not win so are stuck with 60ft trees and and empty pocket0
