loan charges after death

my sisters husband died suddenly, they had a loan with HSBC.It was covered by insurance. They have paid out ,but have taken £460 out of her account because the loan was paid off early. Is this right?

    sounds like the rule of 78 to me. I would enquire why that has happened as the insurance should have covered all of the loan on the event that he passed away. My condolences to your sister.
