solicitors refusing to exchange and complete

Hi there, our solicitor is now refusing to do an exchange and complete after 2 failed attempts, he called for the mortgage money twice, but our buyers have let us down again, friday we packed the van and was ready to go, then we got a phone call saying that the buyers had not tranfered all the funds, so our mortage money…

OP, are the solicitors saying you can't exchange at all, or that you can't exchange and complete on the same day?

It sounds as though the issue may be trying to do both on the same day: have you asked about exchanging with completion a week later, which and/or with undertakings from your buyers solicitor that they are holding the full purchase price?
