newbie help with woolwich

Hi guys.

I hope someone can advise. Applied for a mortgage with Woolwich borrowing just over 50% (160k) all seems to be going OK, I have checked their tracker and it states valuation was accepted on the 3rd of Dec.
The problem is I have heard nothing since, I have spoken (emailed) my broker L&C and they just say they are waiting for Barclays to take their valuation fee, I'm surprise this is taking this long.

Hope someone can put me at ease and this is not becoming a stumbling block.

Thanks

Welsh

  • Sorry guys, does anyone know why this is taking so long, or am I just impatient.

    Thanks

A valuation was carried out with no fee being taken?
That doesnt sound correct. Its been a while since i sent a case to woolwich but im sure they take the fee at the same time as the application being submitted.

ACG, this is what I would expect as well, but L&C tell me they have not taken the fee and the details on the Woolwich tracking service have not moved from valuation approved.
Guess I will need to chase when I'm back in the country.

And women walking around in Bikinis?

I would be jealous of you but its about 7c here and women are walking around in onesies. That is something you wont be getting in Mexico.

That is true. I'm not looking forward to swapping my view for the sights in local asda.

my broker sent my application in on 27th, they've done the survey/valuation and i have my report but they haven't taken my payment , the trackit system is useless as it still shows the valuation as it hasn't even been done yet lol. Now they ask for more bank statements so the trackit system has dropped back even further, seems like woolwich are a bit busy
