Christmas Cake Tin size

I am going to make a guinness fruit cake for a christmas cake next week and the receipe says use a 10 inch tin. My loose bottom one is 8 inches. I dont want to buy another so will this need any cooking adjustment. I realise it will be deeper. Thanks everyone.
