    My goals for 2014!!

Pay off remaining debt - now down to 5k from 12k in 2010 - the end is in sight. Got to get saving for settlement payments.

Join credit union (doing this tomorrow) - put at least £5 per week into it.

Be more frugal when it comes to food and grocery shopping.

Save up for some dental work.

Hit my target weight ( another 2 stone ) I think. 4 stone 9 lbs so far.

Oh and master how to make sushi !!
  • Well I've made a start on my list and defrosted the freezer and made an inventory of what's in it. Lots of soft fruits from the allotment that will need using over winter. So tonight we are having plum pudding and custard. I also cleaned the fridge out and organized it better.

You've just reminded me, I started a freezer inventory when I last defrosted the freezer, then when I recently got some reduced meat forgot to add it to the list. Will have to go through the freezer again and sort the inventory out. We have got 8 drawers altogether in a fridge freezer and a small separate freezer which are all full to bursting.

I personally keep resolutions simple and achievable otherwise I won't bother...I know what I'm like:o

So for me it will be learn 6 new puddings and 6 new veggie main courses so I can do one or the other every month. I did this with baking this year and have managed it:j

I will continue to follow and tighten up on frugal way of life I already follow to increase our savings and look to have fun whereever and however possible

  • In 2014, I am going to rebel against consumerism by being as OS as I can manage....making do and mending, home grow/make as much as possible and evading the clutches of the big supermarkets by using the market, CS and Aldi.

I bought a page-a-day diary and will use it to plan for the future and log small daily pleasure and achievements

  • In 2014 I am going to:

-Clear all my debt- It's about 7 1/2k
-Make a housekeeping binder, or a tleast do some printables so I can keep on top of house work
-Declutter, recycle and upcycle and sell!
-Meal plan and try not to waste any food
-Do more crafting and maybe sell some!
-Grow your own.........I really want to do it this year, I half-heartly done it this year.

Today I have been sorting out my craft bits, I have decided that my desk in my bedroom will be my sewing table. I have put a garden 3 tier shelving unit up and used this to organise my crafty bits. It'll do until I can afford/designed a new system to store everything :)

Not a lot in my list lol.
