Adjustments to targets because of chronic illness

Hi all,
I posted a few weeks ago regarding reasonable adjustments to working hourse due to me having Fibromyalgia.
I have been working with my team leader and am going to trial my 'normal' shift with a view to reviewing and trying alternatives if I feek myself slide.
Now I have only been back a few weeks but I do worry that I won't be ablw to meet my targets. I never seem to be able to achieve them and I now know this is because of brain fog and concentration issues due to the fatigue I often suffer!
Would it be a reasonable request under the equality act for my targets to be adjusted because of this? I just honestly cannot see how else I can improve although i have asked for help from my manager.
It does worry me that even if I can cope with my hours long term, it will all be stuffed up if I don't come up to scratch.
Any comments will be appreciated.

You can ask but as has been mentioned before whether its reasonable or not depends on the individual circumstances.
Are you asking for a 5% reduction or 50%? Is this perminant or a temporary issue during bad times, etc etcDon't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
Would you be expecting a reduction in pay to match your drop in production?Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

It would make more sense to reduce your hours to the point where you can achieve the same per hour targets as the others.
Perhaps your illness means you cannot work in a target driven environment so you need to find another kind of job altogether.0 -
Thanks for your responses.
I shall bear in mind what you have said.
Padded John - my performance related bonus is reflected by my achievements so if i do not hit the targets, I will not receive as much.
The difference in my productivity is currently sitting at 1.3 units per hour instead of the targeted 1.5.
I have previously requested assistance on how to achieve the targets and if my TL can work with me with a view to improving things. I requested help and tips numerous times and have never had any kind of assistance or feedback.
Teabelly...I have worked for the company for over 10 years and think it would be a mistake to look for anything else bearing in mind if I did find new employment, I would have no protection at all for the first 2 years.
I would love to reduce my hours/days however they have said I would not be able to do this unless I moved department - based on where I work, that is likely to mean going to a more 'target driven' area. I requested to do my hours over 3 days, instead of 4 but they won't allow it saying it doesn't suit the office. I think it is a bit unfair seeing there is another girl who works 3 days but I am not sure that can be used in argument!0
