I know S, M, L is small, medium, large.....

But what does the S, M, L stand for?

What is it the actual measurement of ??

the height? width? of the suit ? (Keep in mind they are all 36)

But what does the s, m l stand for ?

Its Short, Medium, Long actually. It refers to the length of the jacket and the arms.
