Hi, I won £75 credit for a fancy dress shop and brought a Dorothy outfit and 2 pairs of ruby slippers. Much to my excitement they arrived today and are awful condition. Parts are ripped, there's glue on the dress, the hold ups are laddered, I got sent the wrong shoes (not sure if they 'upgraded' as these are more expensive than the ones I asked for but it means they are in the wrong size as a large in one style is a medium in another) and generally poorly made. Has anyone complained about a prize before?

Yes, I won a designer scarf and it had pulls on it and one or two blonde hairs so looked used. I felt really uncomfortable doing it, but the shop replaced it for me!Many thanks to everyone who posts competitions and works so hard to provide all the answers!

Yes, I once won an electric razor which didn't work so I contacted the company and they sent out another. I have won a few items of clothing too that were not very good quality but I didn't complain as I got them for nothing anyway. They were from 'unknown' companies on Facebook, however, had they been from someone like FCUK, Ted Baker etc I would have emailed to say that I was a little disappointed as I would expect good quality from them.:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

I don't think they were impressed with my emails! I'm grateful for the prize but wouldn't be a happy customer! Can't believe they sent an old scarf with hairs on to you!Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

I won a tablet - that failed to work!! After 12 months they finally sent something to replace it out after wanting the faulty item back. Instead they sent me a printer which was worth not even half the price of the tablet. It was from an electrical company and I would never use them now!! Then point of a competition is supposed to be to promote your company surely and give a good impression not put people off.Ask.. Believe.. Receive..
