ok heres a tip for you all, if tesco have something on promotion but do not have it in stock they will do you a price promise on it so when it comes in again, even if the offer has finished you will still get it at the promotion price.
this offer is due to end on the 3rd may so make sure you get in tomorrow or tuesday and ask for a price promise.

:-( my order didnt arrive. I rang them and they got the local store manager to ring me back. Seamed a decent enough chap, said the picker had accidently ticked the wrong box in store when they were out of stock, resulting in my order being cancelled and him not finding out :-( Delivery was due yesterday and he offered to put a new order in and it would be delivered today. But they had no new stock delivered this morning and also he couldnt authorise the discount. So in the end i've had to reorder. Hopefully i'll receive the crates on tuesday.

Must say - although they have cocked up they have had the best customer service i've experience in a long time once they were made aware of the error.

Now lets hope they dont charge my card twice ;-)

But I bet they didn't offer you a £10 discount off your next order like Sainsbury's do? I have waited in for Tesco to arrive and they had cancelled my order because they had none of the item in stock (so they claimed) - no phone call, no email, nothing. When I called up to complain and got through to head office they more or less said "terribly sorry that should never happen, now go away."

Anyway - thanks to the OP - just ordered myself 5 cases of this and used a £15 off £50 voucher (had to include some BOGOF Coke to take it over £50) so hopefully will get 120 cans for about £39. Saved my bacon - I have just run out of alcohol following the last megadeals back in October!

I only wanted a few cases so went to our local store, about 5 miles away. Did some other shopping and then found no fosters on the shelves. Asked at customer services who said there were 141 in stock so someone went to look for them, there were none so they said they were being delivered that night and to come back tommorow. The next morning we went back, there were 139 on the system (so they sold 2) but they couldn't find them again. So this time we've ordered over the net, they should have some by now, but still after using a coupon and some BOGOF offers it will cost us a lot less. Very annoyyed.

Thanks to cashman for the advice over the price promise, we'll make sure the delivery driver doesn't get away before giving us something to allow us to buy them at £10 if they don't bring any.

When you say the offer finishes 3rd May, does that mean that my delivery on 4th May will not be at discounted price.

Fraid so the reduction only works if items thru till by tommorrow night (unless offer is extended as happens rarely)

i believe the transaction may go through ok. The website usually states what dates of delivery the reduced price is valid for, in this case the fosters offer doesn't and it also doesn't appear to be on the special offers page.

It also seems to have gone from the site altogether, but perhaps thats because my store has none?

i have just checked the site and where it says special purchase £10 if you click on it it says price only applies to orders delivered on or before the 3rd may.
