Filter for eligible locations?

Hi, I am based in Ireland and want to know if there is a way to filter the search for comps on this site to only show results for ones that are for UK and Ireland (or Europe or worldwide too I guess). Thanks, I'm a newbie here and sorry if this is old hat....

Hi,if you mean Eire & not NI there is not really a way that I know to filter for comps as it is all down to the posting style.

If the OP has noted the restriction a search via "Ireland" may show some but will also show lots of unrelated stuff eg Ireland holidays.

Thanks - just a wild hope! I often get all excited about a comp only to notice at the last minute that it says UK only. Are there sections that are devoted to skilled comps eg. writing and slogans or will I just have to start trawling? Thanks again

If you are after comps that are more than just a 'tick box' entry, most posters put (effort) in the title. So if you search for that it should bring up the ones that require writing, picture entries etc.

Just a matter of trawling.Often "effort" will be added on such as you mention but again it is down to each OP.

Thanks for your help - just trying to get oriented. The 'effort' tag will surely help. Also (sorry) what do the 'advents' mean? And I can't seem to find a section devoted to them - they're just coming up on the list

Advents are comps that promotors put on just for the Xmas period.They are usually daily entry.
