Online wedding dresses

Hi guys,
Just a quick question,
What are peoples views on ordering wedding dresses online? My partner has found a wedding dress in the exact style she wants. We have scoured wedding shows and shops to no avail. And the fact that the dress she has found has a £500 saving on it appeals more to her, but this deal expires at 6am Monday morning.
The only thing that is making her sceptical is it is an online website with mixed reviews (website in question is JJ's House). I haven't had much time to do any research on this site. Only the fact that they have mixed reviews but they seem to be replying to all the negative feedbacks on review websites (possibly striving to show they have good customer service??)
So would you go online, or do it the high street way? Advice please people.
Many Thanks
JB

I ordered from JJsHouse, my view was that £150 was worth the risk of ordering from them but I paid by Paypal anyway to make sure I had some extra protection. It arrived 3 weeks later and somehow got through customs without me having to pay but I would factor this charge just in case.
I am one of the lucky ones, my dress is gorgeous. It's double lined with a shed load of perfectly sewed on sequins. However the reviews do seem like a mixed bag with some peoples dresses not turning up, sizing issues or bad stitching. I guess you have to decide whether the risk is worth it?
There's a thread here of people who have taken the chance to order from China (and some terribly taken photos of my dress).
Hope this helpsMarried 30/08/14 :heartpuls0 -
I bought online from DressilyMe - pics on the thread that Sazzarella linked with her beautiful dresses
Couldn't be happier with my dress, a huge bargain. I think with ordering from China you need to accept that you might not get the bargain you are hoping for or you might be blown away by it! You are basically paying for a gamble IMO. By buying from certain tried and tested sites (eg Dressilyme, asapbay, JJshouse, jasmines bridal, babyonline@DHgate) you are minimising the risk, but it will always be a gamble buying a dress unseen from the other side of the world!

It all depends on where you're ordering it from!
There are reputable companies around that you can pick a cheap dress up from but there's also a lot of scammers out there or companies that sell very sub standard goods.
We tried the E-Bay route from one of these companies that make dresses and ended up losing the money we paid for it. It looked nothing like the picture and was of very poor quality so our attempt to try and save money ended up costing us as we had to go out and buy a 'proper' wedding dress afterwards.
All I will say is if you are going down the internet route make sure you use a company that someone you know has recommended0 -
Im planning on ordering mine from http://www.yourbridalwear.com/, I have only read positive reviews about them. They have a facebook page too https://www.facebook.com/yourbridalwear?fref=ts and there is pictures of dresses they have made on there. I emailed them a month or so ago for a price and they said it would be just over £200 and that includes all postage and no import costs as they're sent by DHL from the UK I think (not 100% but someone asked about it on the facebook page)
When are you getting married? I'm planning on ordering the dress in March and would be happy to post pics and things to let you know if they're any good or not0
