I totally agree. However, I still think they need to tighten up procedures. It's becoming a bit of a jungle out there - part of me feels that you should be able to trust the OR to have your best interests at heart, and we all know that actually they only seem driven to find surplus fund from the estate.
Neko,
You've "hit the nail on the head" there. They'll be subject to the same sort of evaluation and scrutiny that every other employee is in the country and when you think about it, the only way they can be evaluated is by the returns to creditors from the cases they're handling.
Some of them will be more motivated and ambitious than others and God help you if your O.R is a career driven vampire. The O.R's responsibility is to the creditors not the bankrupt so it's not difficult to see why some of them act the way they do. I bet the company that petitioned for our bankruptcy has been giving them "blue murder" because they haven't and never will see a penny from us.

I suppose, in the end, we are still better off and its important to keep sight of that. I can definitely get bogged down in the minutiae, without remembering that overall my life is still sooooo much better than it was before 27.03.07. Nearly 3 months already!

Many thank again guys - interesting to hear the differences in ORs etc as well - fingers crossed I get a nice one eh? lol. In fact, can I have the name of yours guys and start wooing hem now with flowers and choccies just in case :P (that was a joke btw in case I'm found on here by the courts and accused of trying to influence a court offical or something! )
Thanks for the hand written payslip advice Richard - that was the main crux of it really, as to whether we needed to shell out loads and loads for a company to start printing them for us, or if this is something small businesses can handle themselves
(the country hasn't yet banned all small business things yet then, just wait....sigh).
Cheers again guys
