I have a completion date for the 15/12/13 and I have signed my contract, my question is, can you get a completion date without exchanging contracts? (I haven't been informed of this by my solicitor)

The completion date isn't guaranteed to be met until you've exchanged contracts. Keep phoning your solicitor and asking them to exchange (and if not, what's the hold-up).

They should confirm to you when you have exchanged.

The date you've been given is just the date that everyone in the chain has agreed to work towards, but until exchange it could change.

Yes, sounds like you need to give your estate agent a call to find out why everyone has not yet ready to exchange.

The completion date won't be set until you exchange contracts. 15 December is a sunday so won't be your completion date regardless.

Call your solicitor to find out if they have everything they need in order to exchange contracts and call your estate agents to find out if the rest of the chain is ready and to start discussing when people want to complete. Everyone has to be ready and the date agreed before you can exchange.
