3 in 1 slowcooker, rice cooker and steamers

I managed to crack the bowl to my slow cooker at the weekend so am on the lookout for a new one. I spotted in Waitrose today a Tefal 3 in 1 slowcooker, rice cooker and steamer. It was quite a bit more expensive than a standard slow cooker (about £40 as opposed to about £20) but I might be able to get one cheaper if I shopped around.

Are the three in ones worth it? Do they work as well as a standard slow cooker (I couldn't see on this one where you could change the temperature for example, so how do I know what temperature it is cooking at?) I've never had a rice cooker before, and don't usually steam cook. However are there amazing steam cooked meals I may be missing out on?

Any views and advice would be most welcome, including recipies/menus for the steam cooker and the rice cooker (looks like you can use these two simultaneously, though obviously can't use the slow cooker with anything else)
