Best Christmas album?

Hi, I was looking for some Christmas music recommendations. There's so many albums but a lot of them are covers rather than having the original band aid, and other famous singers doing their songs. I have spotify so cost doesn't matter. Thank you :xmastree:

Another vote for Now that's what I call Christmas. Great value too :)
  • Another vote for Phil Spector. Pure Christmas magic.
  • Now that's what I call Christmas - look on Ebay for older cheaper editions as they are all basically the same.

personally love michael buble! but for the mix stuff cant beat now thats what I call christmas!
Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.
  • Another vote for Now That's What I Call Christmas. It's excellent value, features original singers/groups, and doesn't date. My copy is going with me to the Rainbows and Brownies Christmas party on Monday. I have tried other albums, but have yet to find one that comes anywhere near. My three kids (14, 15, 22) all enjoy it as well. I'm actually thinking of getting another copy for my daughter to keep in her car - it would mean she wouldn't keep borrowing mine :rotfl:

Like all the albums mentioned by previous posters.

Have you tried 'Jim Reeves Or Elvis Christmas albums'.?

I'm not a particular fan of either singers in their normal genre but love the Christmas stuff. Probably because these were the only two records we had at Christmas when I was growing up :)

Both have really nice olde worlde ambience.

When it comes to music, I'm an heavy metal fan at heart, although I like anything, if it's good. I like Christmas anyway, so most music gets me. My daughter bought me a cd the other year called It's Not Like Christmas. It has traditional Christmas songs, and some with a 'negaitive' side.
  • I like Now that's what I call Christmas, the new one this year is very good.
    Rod Stewart Christmas one
    Michael Buble
The celine dion Christmas one and Definitive Christmas,I love a mix of the usual slade, mariah carey, band aid etc but also really love the oldies.
