Bought white value bread yesterday SEL said 50p thought went through till as 47p... Bought value wholemeal today SEL said 45p, went through till as 45p. Seems white bread now dearer than wholemeal. Haven't seen any value bread rolls for some time now, has anyone bought any recently?

I bought some Tesco EV white bread yesterday. I didn't note the SEL, but my receipt says 47p.
Tesco do have a bit of a reputation for discrepancies between the SELs and tills. At least this one was in the customers' favour.
PS. BTW, Tesco EV white bread is thick sliced (fried bread) but their EV brown bread is medium sliced (more slices). ASDA SP white and brown bread are both medium sliced. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?
