Christmas book

Options
Hi
I am wanting to get my son a book to put in his Christmas eve box. Can anyone recommend a children's Christmas book that focusses on the importance of spending time with family.

Thank you :A

    How old is he?

My first thought was A Christmas Carol, but if he's a toddler even the shortened children's versions might be a bit too long for his attention span.

Oh just had a thought: How the Grinch Stole Christmas?

Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more'

Night before Christmas? I bought my mum one last year and included it in the Christmas Eve box I made for her.

All sorts catering to different ages ^^

Amazon has a specific Christmas book category - you can narrow it down by ages.

  • I have read The Night Before Christmas to my children every Christmas Eve since my daughter was four - she's now 22, and my youngest is 14!

It's a lovely poem, and young children often react well to rhyme and rhythm. Over the years, my children have asked many questions about it, so it isn't just a case of reading it through, more like a reading with an ongoing discussion. It really has become a family favourite and was well worth the fiver that I spent buying it!

Our town isn't available, but I have bought the colouring book 'Santa is coming to our town'. My son loves it, and it has been ever such a quiet week whilst he has been colouring in :p
  • Ooh, I haven't seen the colouring books *off to have nosey*

How about "The jolly Christmas Postman" my two love it (11 and 8) but my neices and nephews also love it (they range from 30 years downwards to 19)

I paid £2.99 from a garden centre, and today my son has taken it to Nan's house to show her. There is still a decent length story, as well as the colouring pages. One page is the story, and opposite you have the colouring. On the story page, you can also colour the page title. Well worth the money!
