Remember tax credits are based on household income not yours alone and you must be over 25 (?)

What's your job? Is it full time? Your wage seems very low considering all the driving you're doing. Would you consider getting something closer to him that would let u ditch the car?
  • are your debts really all at 0% ?
are you just paying minimum payments on them?

My advice would be: take full advantage of being able to live with your mum for a while, you will never have such low outgoings again!

You could give yourself a one year challenge- ditch the holiday, home hair colour for a year, get much cheaper mobile costs as soon as you can, think you do need budget for clothes/ toiletries.

you could really make a massive difference if you became motivated by the great satisfaction and security less debt would bring you.

I am presuming you are still quite young, this is a perfect time to get sorted. you will get lots of support and ideas on here, wishing you the very best ! :)

  • You cannot afford your holiday. That is very clear from your SOA.

To spend 10% of your income on this one thing is very foolish, notwithstanding the amount of debt you have accrued.

Cancel it now and lose whatever downpayment you have made.

**whispers** slow down, reality needs to set in for the OP first and to slowly adapt **end whispers**

But yes, I agree holidays, entertainment and presents are luxuries the OP cannot afford. However OP, do lot loose your work life balance, even if it means having friends over to mums to watch a cheap DVD with some very cheap wine from a bargain shop (night in costing probably less than £5, social time is important).

I agree a few shifts in a pub a week or a Saturday job would help enormously. Other than that you could try ironing or babysitting or selling stuff on ebay/carboots. Anything to get some more income in to pay for your holiday :)
Basically your SOA is showing that you should have 100 pounds a month 'spare' to throw at your debts. DO you find this to be accurate? If not then a spending diary to find out where the money is going will really help.
In terms of interest then Littlewoods should probably be first on your list for overpayments to get rid of, on the other hand the dwp debt is smaller compared to the others so maybe you want to tackle this one to reduce the number of debts you have and to get you started?

there are no jobs closer to home, at least not permanent ones which is why I ended up with this job having had 3 temporary jobs which got ended early

I can't cancel the holiday as it would leave other people in trouble and i'm not prepared to have my family suffer for me

the only thing I have that is not work or just sat at home is going to a friends or them coming here I can't afford to do anything else so I don't see where I could cut that any more. I will cut back on the presents, i'm sure my family will understand that

I have just sold my ipod which has got me just short of £100 since it was sat in drawer doing nothing since I am usually in my car when i'm out anyway.
as I said earlier this is a base line income and it is normally a fair bit higher than the £1000 stated as I take any extra shifts I can get which (until things quietened down a little for Christmas) meant I was working about 50 hours a week. I was thinking maybe starting doing avon again
