Unsecured Tenant Loans

Can anyone recommend a good reliable tenant loan company? I tried Yes Loans and they were hopeless!! We only want £4000 to pay off our car loan and to use the rest for a deposit and first months rent on a new house. Any suggestions gratefully recieved!! :dance:

Also any I should avoid like the plague?

Hello,

I think your first port of call should be your bank, provided you have no recent problems with them, they would be a good starting place as they see your money going into your account each month etc.

Obviously there are places like A+L, Northern Rock etc, but they can be very selective with regards to who they provide with loans. If your credit history is good, it may be worth approaching these.

One word of warning - do not apply for several loans in a short space of time, it looks bad and makes lenders wary of lending as it looks like desperation. SO be selective and if in doubt ask for a quotation search rather than a full application search to establish the APR they will offer you.

The two companies who spring to mind which will offer loans to practically anyone, all be it at a price (a high one!) are Welcome and Citi Financial. PLease be careful with these two though, as they do have a reputation for VERY high APRs.....

Forgot to mention my partner doesn't have any credit so has a low credit score.
