Im off got some interesting reading for bedtime :)

    Goodnight

Ah, my M list;):rotfl:. I did have a long reply to your earlier post about hopefully probs with M's website, but just can't get it in with my dodgy connection. So instead I'll wish you goodnight! Bound to come up again at some time when my line is working properly.

    Goodnight.

(See, I do what I say: many people, I notice, say for example "I'd like to wish you a Merry Christmas", but then proceed it leave it at that and never actually do so.

So: I'd like to wish you a Merry Christmas...

    Merry Christmas!!:)

    Oh, and goodnight again!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::D:T:T:):wave:)

What a lovely daughter you have RHOS.

Don't mean to pry but has she approached the local authority re: being homeless (if she still is?) and if she is struggling financially, she will definitely be able to get some kind of help.

My dd had to claim housing benefit towards the end of her maternity leave. It wasn't a lot around £68 but every little helps. And she is part of a 2 income household. Afterall this is what taxes are paid for, to help people through times when income slips and maternity pay is definately a time of reduced income.

Tax credits are good and really help with child care costs too for when she returns to work.

I let dd 'buy' things from my stash to give as presents. I charged he £1 an item as she is now back at work and the money she gave me paid for more glitches.
I refuse to let mum pay though as it is my way of repaying her for everything she does for me.
Mum made me laugh today, she must have asked me at leat 4 times if I needed any money for my break away. She can't quite understand how much better off I am this year. Ok I still don't have much in the bank but I am so much better at planning and rarely impulse buy.

I have a sneaky suspision dad might want to come back with me on 26th but I am prepared. If he does come I am meeting dd at bluewater on 1st jan so she can take him the rest of the way home.
There is a real :A on here and I am doing something we couldn't normally afford new years day:T

David.! Tom has quite enough ladies (in various states of undress) to be dealing with without adding me into the mix ;)

He's the thread's Mr Darcy and his bungalow is Pemberley. I've decided.

I'm also quite tipsy so I'll bid you all goodnight.

I think that's the problem. :( Whenever there's a glitch, the kids are the first to gain from it, even though I've told her on countless occasions how to do it. If I stop the freebies, she'll moan. I just can't seem to win!!

Ah, borricks to her, she'll all get it in a lump as and when. :rotfl:

Sound like you are like me scamps. I glitch for things to make kids lives easier.
What I do is wait for dd to actually ask If a certain thing she needs is either glitching or in my stash then I make up a bag of bits she has asked for plus a few extra. Ds1 likes suprise bundles but mainly lynx (big joke between us) and dishwasher tablets. They are both getting giftcards for xmas which I have paid for with money I have saved on my shopping so they can buy exactly what their families need or food when skint. Ds1 has 2 weeks off unpaid so is skint by time he goes back but it is 2 weeks to spend with his son. If he decides dgs needs his own I pad then my voucher will help.

I think our kids like to have something special at xmas (especially if we spoil them all year round) so I am letting them choose. Dd does have some glitchy presents but they are things she mentioned she would like when looking through stash plus a make up set as she uses a lot for work.

My ds2 just says he doesnt want anything so he has a couple of small things and we will just spend more time together, cinema, eating out when I am up there staying throughout the year ( I secretly think he feels left out as other 2 have families and kids).

Some years I have barely had a gift from kids and no birthday/mothers day gifts but those were years when money has been tight. When daughter was flying transatlantic she spoilt me rotten including a gift from every stopover and we spent frequent weekends in london together shopping and visiting museums.
I was and still am a very blessed mummy but I know if I didn't give any gifts one year kids would not mind as they prefer to see me and spend time.

Sorry I would tell my dd she was an ungrateful moo if she did this to me:eek:

To help with the rudolf perspective.

These type of felt heads are £35+ at the local craft store.

My dad would love this. He has his eye on a silver stags head and has antique bull horns on his stairs. Also has photo of bull as was prize winner and original receipt:eek:
