Regarding the TV... whats the issue? I'm assuming their reply is within the law?
Im sure they have to refund within a certain time frame i.e within the first month.
I read some of the posts there and its obvious its a flash mob as some of the responses are a little.....off. Like saying their practice is disturbing.
I'm sure its all in accordance with their T+Cs and the law unfortunately. Not saying it's not unlucky but not exactly disturbing lol. Disturbing would be not repairing it at all.0 -

David - I will up it to 2 bottles :rotfl: if you let me come.
Just had a call from Mum - who has just had a call from my cousin who lives 100 miles away.
Went something like - Hello Auntie ***** we thought we would Surprise Youand have booked into a Hotel on Christmas Night, so we can come and see you Christmas Day and Boxing Day .
Family consists of 2 adults and 2 girls aged 5 and 8.
Good job I was sitting down.
Mum and I were just going to spend day quietly together and cook a Chicken - have half each in front of TV.
Now looks like I have to start shopping and cooking
Shame my DB, SIL and DN would never dream of spending Christmas with usif so would have been prepared.
One year a friends father died on 23rd dec. He was not sure when he would fly home to spain and said to keep christmas day plans as they were. He was a chef so planning to work xmas lunch and we were booked in along with his wife.
Plans changed and late 24th we booked him a flight for 25th.
I am proud to say I managed to do full xmas dinner with mince pies ect just on the contents of mine and mums freezer. Had chicken but with all the trimmings. Xmas pud, brandy butter ect all done on the day. Mince pies I made from filo pastry and best I had ever done so we now always have filo mincemeat triangles.
Afterall it is just a roast dinner.
I can see unexpected guests causing a problem though, especially if you hadnt planned on putting a tree up. Thank goodness they have atleast booked a hotel and are not expecting a bed as well.

They probably are within the law, however it's not very good form to leave a family without a TV over Christmas is it0 -
