A question, friend has rung and she thinks her coil has slipped. I think she rang some sort of sexual health clinic but they could not help as they have no doctor at the weekend. Her doctors shut as you would expect.
So I said to go to the walk in clinic. This is now at a and e so she went there as she was in pain.
At a and e she was eventually seen by triage who said she could either go to the walk in clinic queue where the wait was 4 to 6 hours. Or stay in the a and e queue where the queue was 6 hours
So she gave up and they gave her 2 co codomol.

Anyway coil slippage is it a serious problem or just one of those things that happens?

She is now going to get a doctors appointment on Monday instead.

Mine never seemed to settle properly and I had to go to the gynae ward to have it removed

I'd had it put in 9 days prior under GA, while I was having gynae surgery.

It got so bad that I couldn't sit down, lie down or stand up.

All they gave me was some soluble aspirin for painkilling purposes. But the pain was that bad that I'd quite happily have had it out without any painkillers at all

Assume this was at a day appointment in the hospital rather than at the GPs?
It crossed my mind that this might be the worst case scenario.
I've not said anything though - poor thing has had so much mither this year :(

Yes the pain is a bit of a worry, sounds a bit like an infection or it coud be by the time she gets an appointment at the GPS

Yes, day surgery. They can perforate the uterus apparently.

Hope everything's ok when oh gets there. The worrying that electricity causes me I can't explain. As long as everyone safe, that's the main thing.

Just had a teeny weeny sip of last year's homemade wheat wine
Very strong, warming and as per usual tastes soooo good
No more for me as I'm driving later

Started off another batch at harvest time as it takes 12 months to brew and mature. A very cheap and mse way of getting a load of booze :j

    Bye for now x

Another question has anyone tried Russian Caravan tea?

Just had a wonder around B &M - we have a huge one that used to be a Focus DIY store - and they had Twinnings Russian caravan leaf tea for 39p :T - worth a try and if its horrible it can go on the compost heap :D

    :rotfl::rotfl:

Not so fond memories of tea when we were in school. My DM was going through a 'let's try different teas' phase.
Yes Russian Caravan was one, Gunpowder Green, Lapsang soshong (sp)
Oh for a cup of normal leaf tea :o
