howdy folks. I've just been stupidly busy but thanks for thinking of me :happyhear. Had loads going on but this is the best part:

My best friend has been going through IVF for almost 6 years, lost quite a few babies early on. This time last year was dreadful as she miscarried at 16 weeks.. However, she did a "last chance" IVF and was due for a C section on 30th Dec. But they decided to come early... 9 weeks early in fact. She was rushed to John Radcliffe at Oxford and now has 3 baby girls. they all weigh between 2.5 and 3lbs and are miniscule and in high dependency but doing ok. I cried when i saw them, they look like little monkeys. Likely to be there til after N.Yr at least but we are all elated :T

    Oh how lovely, instant family.

I have a friend that sounds just delicious too. He in fact looks like a hobbit but his voice makes him sound like leading Hollywood man.

Don't know about scanning coupon. SA did mine no prob. Jus rol voucher is in Teskues xmas mag :)

Yep hubby certainly makes the ladies swoon with his voice. It used to be a pain when we did shows as he'd say "If there's anything else you want to know, feel free to ring me" as he handed a card out. Cheeky mares did too! They never wanted to speak to me but could speak to him for HOURS until I took the phone away from him and said "We are going out". Some used to phone nearly daily.

Hubby used to be in radio - worked as a DJ for a couple of years on leaving Uni and also did voiceovers. As he said & I'll agree "I have the perfect face for radio!"

I'm intrigued - what did "my" shop sell?? :D

You don't have one near you? Oooo its a lovely shop, lots of things you never want but always need. Have a good selection of art products and nice bits and pieces. I think they have an website but don't think they sell online, they never used to anyway.
    Nice to see you back

  • It never did show on A.com for me but offer was on in-store

Also just noticed Clicksnap offering free home delivery with As when you spend £20 on Coke range ... ;) not sure if it's worth a try or not but APG would be a whopper. I assume you'd have to ensure the Coke spend was £20 after the 3 for £3 is deducted, but as the offer isn't showing on the As website, your basket shows full price - in that case I assume you would buy at least 7 lots of 3 - any flaws in that? Anyone attempted a home deliv APG with the Coke?!

    Good morning!

    :)

    Sorry to shamelessly bump myself

    :o:)

Yes, i will be around :D. I've barely been in supermarkets so it's been great.. but I did have a boozy lunch on sat with a friend and my 4 yr old - 3 hours in the pub!! She visited from london for the weekend. she's having a rough time as her OH passed away suddenly last year (diagnosed with stomach cancer and 2 weeks later was gone:cool:) they were married 34 years. She is sooooo lovely, as was he so lots of reminiscing and talking about the nice memories. Was actually a good weekend with her and she said she's never slept so much in the last 18 months.

Went to t's first thing to pick up order charged 3 for 2 CS refunded so 3 for £1 bought some hair stuff 2 and looking at order there's some weird discount maybe 2 deals but not really sure why or what on.
Have look when get home dd's got hospital appointment and already running late.
Ignore reality. There's nothing you can do about it.
    I have done reading too!
personally test's all her own finds
  • Morning all

Just been speaking to a lovely picker at mr t.
First of all my order was full price. Then he run through system again and it was £40 less. Off he popped to his manage who said I should accept order then phone mr t for a refund as I have screen shots.

I was tempted but tbh I would not want to tie up that amount of money for 4 days, also even though I have the screenshots they might not agree to refund although manager said they would.
So abandonded mission as too much hassle but looks like I would have got them eventually.

Not for me hence why I don't want to go to all that bother.

Ah, well u did good anyway so no worries, I sometimes get in store and think, "what can I get that compares to ..?" it can be quite brain taxing at my age.
I am pleased to report that my two late night shops worked and we are well on the way with stock for the wedding as we now have beer, wine, and now coke and bacon!!!!
OK, so not bacon for the wedding but it will get eaten with my gang starving half to death every day and needing some sort of instant food or they would certainly die within the hour:)
I know I sound like my mum now but they have no idea about life in general or how strict it used to be, even about food and meals, and even more so now that treats are plentiful (and often free).

I have a basic list of fillers that i carry with me, AvS, avT etc. Things like batter, crumble mix topping, tinned s/p carrots etc. They'll always be used in stews, and i find it's more worthwhile than buying 10p sweets. dare i say I'm sick of flumps?:o
In other exciting news, neighbours at the back have just put a fridge freezer on driveway. Wonder if it is still working?
    V x
ooh, it is exciting.... he he, go round and ask to borrow a cup of sugar then ask what they are doing with the freezer... and hint that you want one:D
