I've logged in and tested lillets and various always

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=274268436

Add 3 to basket and guide price is £4.38

The John Frieda has a current 2 for £8 valid until today by the look of it

Previously eg with Finish 3 for £2 glitch the discount to £2 appeared in the basket straight away

Depends if you pay for C&C/delivery. You could try then refuse if it doesn't work or keep goods and argue your case with HO. If they don't budge you'd have to return anything you don't want to store.
Or you could head in store tomorrow morning and hope there are some 3 for £1 SELs about ;)
