We are having the children's and staff Xmas dinner on the same day I believe - cue chaos. I would rather eat with the kids for the Xmas dinner but we won't. Then we have a night out at a posh hotel last day of term which cost a lot, food is too fancy and I won't drink anyway - only good thing about going is a colleague who I haven't seen for awhile is going so will get a chance to chat with them.

Xmas isn't the same with DD nearly 13 now and my mum going in to hops on Xmas day eve/boxing day morning - only my second Xmas without her. Once DD is grown and flown I would like to start a new tradition with hubby of going away somewhere so that I'm not able to dwell with what we would normally have done with mum at such and such a time.

DH and I started going away at Chrsitmas after both our Mums died. They were both in different residential homes but used to come to us for a few days over Christmas. MIL died first and my Mum just over a year later - I couldn't face the thought of the two empty chairs the following year so we started going away and have kept it up every year since.

The Firetrap boxers are the same price at Sports direct I think, so not the most exclusive of deals.
However, I do quite like a jacket for my son on the website. Does anyone know what kind of brand Firetrap is - ie is it considered chavvy? TIA :)
