Day 22 - There is nothing more quintessentially British than a stay in a castle. Situated in its own ten-acre woodland estate in Northumberland’s South Tyne Valley, Langley Castle was built in the 14th century and still retains its historic charm. The accommodation is everything you’d imagine in a castle, with some of the 27 bedrooms having four-poster beds and all having far-reaching views across the grounds. Josephine’s is the hotel’s award-winning restaurant, serving local and seasonal fish, game and meat.
