Help - Car for work

Hi
I am just about to start work as an account manager. The company offer me a car allowance to pay for a car.
Question, having just moved back from a few years in Canada, been on maternity leave and living off one income, using overdraft to full extent, I don't know the best way to go about getting a car?
I don't have anything to put down as deposit and not sure that my credit will be that great as have been out of the country. I kept a UK bank account while gone and all payments etc stayed within agreed overdraft.
Does anyone have any ideas on companies that might offer contract hire without deposit or another solution?
I could apply for a personal bank loan but if they looked at the account now they would say that we couldn't afford it, however, we will be double salary soon and car allowance- would they take future earnings in to account?
Many thanks

Hi Lisa,
something I looked at some time ago was a company called www.swap-a-lease.co.uk, that have partially expired car leases available to take over, no deposit required and full maintenance contracts available, maybe something like this would help ?
It is something I have looked at instead of taking the company car option, seems pretty cheap as well.0
