Sending gifts to USA

Hi all

Little bro, SIL and nephew are staying in the USA this Christmas - has anyone got any recommendations for the cheapest company to use for sending a parcel out to them next week ?

replies are talking about places to buy, but it seems you are talking about a parcel of gifts you already have?

We just sent a parcel this week, and though we only looked at the main couriers, post office beat them.

However...if they are there for a holiday I'd consider giving them their gifts here. Buy giving stuff to bring back you are impacting on their luggage allowance, which might cost them on the return journey, and they might prefer to have anything bigger than an envelope at home.

Its very thought ful of you. :)

    Hi

Yes gifts already bought and 'staying' as in they live there and aren't back in the UK for Christmas :(

When I did this a few years back Royal Mail were ridicuously expensive but couriers were cheaper. Couriers are coming out at silly prices this year though. I have checked Worldwide couriers as suggested on the MSE advice pages, where it says £25 for 10kg parcel but my 8kg parcel is coming out at £60 with them :eek::eek:.

I will go and check Royal Mail - thank you.

Have a look on Parcel monkey. Admittedly I haven't used them for around a year but they were always significantly cheaper than the RM for me. I think their 'own' courier service uses Parcelforce and always arrived quickly for me.

Ah, apologies, misunderstood. Yes, that's our situation....lots of in laws over the show....including a new niece to whom I just posted a tiny little party dress her parents will disapprove of amongst other things they will be more grateful for and I disapprove of :rotfl:
