No, they can't expect you to do the same jobs to the same standard as someone who has more time to do them in.
However for the sake of a one hour difference in your contract I expect that you wouldn't get anywhere with your complaint - they would likely just add one small non consequential duty to the other persons workload and say the extra hour is for that.0 -
