Fixed rate monthly interest charges

Hello
I just received my mortgage statement and am a bit confused as although it's a fixed rate mortgage, the monthly interest charges have been variable. I would have expected them to either go down slightly or to remain the same. Please can someone explain this to me? Or has the bank made a mistake?
Thank you

This is probably due to the differing number of days in each month.0
