Query: bankruptcy and new job as credit controller?

Son of a friend went bankrupt in May of this year, discharge should be next May, I understand.
He has seen a job advertised for which he is well-qualified - as a credit controller - but is worried that he might be rejected as he is an undischarged bankrupt. Any ideas? He'd increase his income enormously if he were to get this job, so would be in a better situation to repay his creditors.

Depends who the job is with and whether they do credit checks and/or ask for disclosure as part of the application process.
Institutions like banks, councils etc. will almost certainly check, smaller private companies might not.0 -
I would call HR of the company and simply ask them before doing the application...some financial places are funny and this, as are local & central gov't.0
