A further twist to the tale which might not help my case:

I can't find my original job offer letter but apparently it says that I could only leave at certain times of the year ( I think it was 1st September, 1st January or 1st April or May) and I haven't adhered to this.

My terms and conditions say something different (just that I have to give a months notice) and are dated after my job offer letter so do these supersede the job offer letter?

    Thank you!

They probably combine as they are not mutually exclusive.
