Optical Express vs Optimax laser surgery equipment

Hi,

I've had consultations at both OE and Optimax recently. If it were purely based on professionalism and the general feel then I would go with Optimax. However, the people at OE seemed really confident in their new iDesign technology which takes more readings of the eye and is supposed to give a more accurate end result. I have read online (not just OE's website) that it is considered the next generation of laser surgery machines, and that the only other place that uses the same machines as OE is Moorefields eye hospital...which sways me in their direction.

Does anyone here know any more about the different technologies used by each company or have any suggestions/advice?

Thanks for any advice!

See, I'm the other way round, wouldn't recommend optimax if you paid me! Let's just say that I was glad that when I had my consultation that they forgot about me for two hours. There was no way I was trusting them with my eyes after some of the things I saw! Had no problems at all with Optical Express, was more than happy with the clinics and the aftercare.

My question would be if they have such modern equipment, do they have the expertise and experience to use it?
