sadvance warning - bus only street

Hi I was driving in birmingham and approached an island that had three roads off it. The first and third exits were bus only and 2nd exit was no entry.
So the only option to avoid a fine was to come back the way I came from
My question is should there have been advance warning that the exits off the island were bus lanes?
Tried pepipoo but seems pretty dead over there
Thanks

Yes its pretty dead. And I dont have much time in which to decide to appeal or not0

As suggested on pepipoo. What appeal? Your post suggests you turned around and went back the way you came.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Thanks peterYour post suggests you turned around and went back the way you came.
No it doesnt0 -
I have approached Corporation street from every direction on GSV and I can see warning signs pedestrian zone except buses taxis and bikes!
Admittedly GSV will be from a while back, are you saying there are no signs up now?
Oh and your post does read like you went back on yourself!0 -

I couldn't see any when I went down on sunday but will check gsvOh and your post does read like you went back on yourself!
Sorry if its a bit confusing but I said that the only way to avoid a fine would be to go back the way you came - not that I went back the way I came0 -

"So the only option to avoid a fine was to come back the way I came from"
There is nothing in that sentence that confirms I avoided a fine, it just sets out what I would have needed to do to avoid being fined
The sentence is non specific on whether I actually received a fine0 -
I fear we are getting slightly side tracked though0

Good bye. Best of luck.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Well the roads were clearly signed as you clearly knew what to do to avoid being fined, yet you chose to ignore the signs and received a fine for doing so.
On what grounds do you think you have a valid appeal ??0
