All new Woolwich customers affected

I've just reached my second payment of my mortgage, having changed the day the direct debit comes out.
first payment 16/11/13 £1006.35
Second payment 2/12/13 £1006.35 (this should have been £637,07)
Speaking to the advisor today she says that this has affected all new customers who have changed their mortgage payment date.
She advised I use my right to claim "Direct Debit Indemnity" to claim the second payment back (directly through my bank) and the call Woolwich again to make a payment over the phone.
I had to "discuss" the extra interest I would be paying for a "later" payment but after speaking to her manager they said they would back date it.
I wondered if this has affected anyone else in recent days?

I've had a further conversation with Woolwich, the caller I spoke to said she has had 6 calls regarding the issue. They are 1 of a 100 call operators in there Leeds Branch. Glad I check my bank statement daily! Some others wont be so lucky.0

That sounds worrying, I've just paid my first monthly installment after changing the date to the 25th, £400 extra on top of normal payment. Did they say they were looking into it to fix it? Or are they waiting for all those affected to ring in?0

They are "investigating." They know that there is an error. I'd ring them an see if you it will be an issue for you.... They "guaranteed" it would be correct on my next payment in Jan (3rd payment).0
