Help please with a CD player

I would like to get a CD player as a present for my mum. I don't know where I should start looking and I don't want to spend more than £40.
Ideally I would like it to have a tape deck, radio and CD drive.

It needs to quite lightweight and easily portable. An all in one type thing like this (see link below) would be ideal. Don't want it to be too chunky though.

Thought this would be the best place to ask.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that Shambler. That is the kind of thing I am looking for but it does look a bit chunky. It needs to fit on a shelf that relatively thin so it can't be too chunky or the chances of it falling and getting smashed up to smithereens are much higher.

I think the Argos one that I showed might be a little bit too chunky as well but it has the features I want.

I suspect you might have to do some old fashioned shopping with this one. i.e. go and look at some.

Comet, Currys, John Lewis, Tesco ect etc.

You will know the size that works, and when you find one that fits then you can search for decent prices.

Ckerrd, I'm thinking I may have to do the same thing. I only have a few days and am working everyday apart from tomorrow (and I'm otherwise engaged then) so not really got time to do the whole high street thing and have left it too late to get it delivered without being stung with silly delivery charges.

I don't want to spend more than £40 but if I see a really nice one for a bit more then I will get it if I can.

I have seen £10 special delivery charges in some place which I am not paying as for that £10 I might as well get an upgraded model in one of the shops you mentioned.
