Pre Employment credit check - HELP

Hi there,

Basically I have just been offered a conditional offer for employment with a well known bank. I am a bit worried about the credit check that they do as the offer will be withdrawn if I fail it.

I have 0 defaults/delinquent debts, no CCJs or any thing like that, just a credit card and over draft that I continually make payments for.

my credit score isn't great but the HR person told me they don't go off the actual score, i'm also not yet on the electoral roll.

However, I have been late with my orange phone Bill a few times, and at one point owed them £43 after the contract had finished. I have since paid that off but it is not reflected on my equifax report. Could this act as a factor in failing the check??

really appreciate any replys, thanks.

Why are you not on the electoral roll? Contact your local authority today to progress this.
